factory letter lists this revolver as
having a 6 inch barrel chambered
in 357 magnum with electroless
nickel finish and type of stocks not
listed when shipped to Valley Gun
Distributors Inc. in Northridge California on October
9, 1980. Includes original Colt “woodgrain” box with
end label confirming the finish.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus
original electroless nickel finish with limited handling marks and a light cylinder drag line. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks and a tear at one end.

Fits in case with “A” and “B”.

Python Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial
no. 315, 357 magnum cal., 6 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The Colt Python was invented to be the top of the line model in Colt revolvers. Originally designed to be a target revolver in .38 special, these revolvers gained wide recognition in most
gun circles due to the use of all hand fit parts allowing for a supremely accurate and robust revolver. Almost immediately, the Colt Python found popularity with the likes of competition shooters and law enforcement. Includes a matching number Colt two- piece “woodgrain” box, hang tag, bore brush, original test target, and “Handling the Handgun” pamphlet.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% plus original blue finish with light handling marks concentrated around the leading edges, and a light cylinder drag line. Grips are very fine with some light dings and scratches and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fair with numerous tape repairs and some scattered peeling.
