Very Fine Colt Lightning Medium Frame Slide Action Rifle in .4
Serial no. 89568, 44 WCF cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1902,
the two-line address and patent dates on top of the barrel in front of the rear sight and “44 Cal.” at the
breech. The Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame and the serial number is on the lower tang. It is fitted
with a German silver blade front sight, elevation adjustable notch rear sight, and a Marble’s tang mounted peep sight. It is
mounted with a lightly bordered slide handle and a smooth straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina, primarily
on the edges and the muzzle, and some scattered light dings and handling marks. The wood is excellent with some scattered light pressure dents concentrated mostly on the slide handle. Mechanically excellent.

Colt shotguns. The advertisement also assures
possible purchasers that they will have bought
the best and most affordable gun the market
offers. Mounted in a black frame. Frame measures
12 1/4 inches x 15 1/8 inches.
CONDITION: Very good, with storage and
handling marks, a few small holes from previous
folding, and a small stain. All text remains clear.

Attractive Colt 10 Gauge Model 1878 Double Barrel Hammer Shotgun - Serial no. 15358, 10 gauge, 32 inch solid rib bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1883. Damascus steel barrels with single bead sight on the smooth concave solid rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers with single extractor, and choke constrictions measured at .020/.014 inches (modified/modified). The casehardened sidelock action features the “Colt’s Pt. F.A. Mfg. Co.” marking on either lock, nitre blue bolts on the locks and tang, double triggers, and rebounding hammers. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered splinter forearm with ebony tip insert and round knob pistol grip stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate. Stock measurements: 1 15/16 inch drop at comb; 3 1/16 inch drop at heel; 14 1/4 inch length of pull; weight 8 lbs 15 oz. CONDITION: Very fine, showing an attractive mix of brown and grey twist visible on the barrels with 40% of the original blue finish on the small parts, 60% case colors on the action with some fading in areas, light handling evidence, a few light dings in the otherwise fine wood, a few chips around the edges, and crisp checkering.
