CONDITION: Exceptionally fine. The barrel and cylinder retain 70% plus original bright blue finish. The cylinder has a crisp scene and solid safety pin. 50% muted original case colors remain on
the frame. There is some minor pitting mainly on the cylinder. The markings remain crisp. The grip frame has traces of original silver plating and otherwise displays attractive aged patina on the brass. There are some mild dings and scratches throughout. The grip is fine and has most of the glossy varnish finish remaining, mild lower edge wear, light scratches and dings, and mild handling and storage wear. Mechanically excellent. It is very difficult to find a Colt First Model Dragoon in this high of condition, especially one with the always desirable “U.S. DRAGOONS” cylinder marking. Do not miss your chance!
