DLO Manufactured Browning 1919A4 General Purpose Machine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. 8670274, 30 , 24 inch round bbl., matte gray phosphate finish. Built from a combination of new-made and military surplus components by Douglas Laurence Oefinger of Stamford, Connecticut, this is a Browning Model 1919A4 Machine Gun outfitted as an infantry weapon and marked in the style of a World War II-production gun from the Saginaw Steering Gear Division of General Motors. Interesting Alpine Industries Converted M1 Carbine Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. 2875, 30 Carbine cal., 18 inch round bbl., blue finish, steel stock. This is an example of a post WWII production M1 Carbine that was manufactured by Alpine Industries which has been converted to an M2 pattern fully automatic class III/NFA weapon. It has the standard markings on the front receiver ring, while the markings on the rear of the receiver have been partially polished off except for the “INE” in Alpine. It has been stamped with serial number on the front flat in front of the rear sight. The barrel is unmarked and it has been fitted with a set of M2 fully automatic conversion parts that are a mix of some military parts and commercial parts. The side of the trigger housing is stamped “SA” indicating it was a Korean War trigger housing with a HI marked hammer. It is fitted with a “U” marked Underwood round M2 bolt, and correct “A” marked selector switch.

Blade front and folding ladder rear sights, long ventilated heat shield around the barrel, Saginaw/DLO nomenclature markings on the right side plate, Israeli nomenclature on the left, and a checkered pistol grip. With a tripod, canvas cases, and assorted extra parts. CONDITION: Very fine as remanufactured, with 97% of the refurbished matte gray phosphate finish, showing mild oxidization on and around the muzzle and mild handling marks overall. The internal components are incomplete, with the bolt assembly being absent. Accessories are in good order, showing wear and staining appropriate to age and use. It has a unmarked type III barrel band, a “SS” marked flip safety and a “M” marked M2 magazine release. It is fitted with a commercial M1A1 folding paratrooper type stock, and a two rivet handguard. It also comes with an extra 30-round magazine. CONDITION: Fine as refinished with 85% of the post war commercial blue finish still remaining overall, edge and high spot wear, some minor light pitting on top of the receiver ring, and a mix of parkerized finish on some of the military parts. The stock is in very good condition with chips, scuffs, and a dark brown matching walnut color overall.
