   LOT 1454
Fleming Firearms/Olympic Arms CAR-AR Selective Fire Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun, with Accessories - Serial no. Z2357, 5.56 mm
cal., 20 inch round bbl., matte black anodized finish, synthetic stock. Originally manufactured by Olympic Arms as a semi-automatic, this rifle was upgraded by Fleming Firearms into a select fire rifle. Adjustable post front and two-leaf peep rear sights, with a three-pronged flash hider on a “5.56 Nato 1x9” marked barrel, with a triangular forearm, A1 style upper receiver, checkered pistol grip, and a fixed buttstock with a trapdoor buttplate and “78” in faded yellow paint on the left side. The lower receiver has the Olympic Arms markings on the left side. During the upgrade work, Fleming added their markings to
the left side underneath the pistol grip, with the trigger pocket milled out for the pinned safety sear,
the stops for the safety switch modified for three-position operation, and the appropriate hardware installed. The bolt carrier is the proper full auto pattern and has a staked gas key, “MPI” marked
bolt head and a chromed firing pin. Included with the lot is a rubberized nylon kit bag containing five extra magazines and a grouping of “burst fire” internal components.
CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded to full auto, with 95% of the black anodized finish, showing some mild handling marks and edge wear. The selector area shows a few touch ups, and the furniture shows some light scuffing
and scratching concentrated on the buttstock. The burst fire components appear to be a complete set, but their function and completeness is not guaranteed. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.

  LOT 1455
Pearl Manufacturing/Armalite AR-180 Selective Fire Rifle,
Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. S25541, 5.56 mm cal., 20 inch round bbl., blue/black
finish, synthetic stock. Originally manufactured as an AR-180 semi-automatic rifle by Sterling for Armalite, this rifle was upgraded to full automatic by Pearl Manufacturing. Armalite’s follow-up to the AR-15, the AR-18/180 failed to gain deep market penetration, though many of the features (piston drive operation, ambidextrous fire controls, and a folding stock) would become popular upgrades to the 15 in later years. Adjustable post front and two-leaf peep rear sights, with a three prong flash hider and British commercial proofs on the barrel, ribbed and ventilated handguard, integral scope block on the AR-180/Sterling marked upper receiver, and the Pearl “PMC” mark on the left side of the lower receiver. The selector stops on the lower position have been cut down and rewelded to permit three-position operation, with “AUTO” added to the appropriate area, and the interior of the upper receiver has been cut and reshaped to house the safety sear. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip and a side folding buttstock with ribbed buttplate. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Very fine as converted and refinished, with 90% of the current black and blue finish, showing a rougher texture to the lower receiver, scattered light scratching and handling marks, and a bright, strong blue on the barrel. The furniture is very good, with a number of light scuffs and dents.
