of one revolver for each month with special laser engraving on the sideplates which have a rendering
of early Smith & Wesson advertisements. This set
has the distinction of being set number “1 of 500” as well as being pictured in Standard Catalog of Smith
& Wesson on page 338 as well as on pages 118 and 119 of “History of Smith & Wesson Firearms”. Included with the revolver is the original S&W blue box, letters pertaining to the purchase of the revolvers, “The Twelve Revolvers” book, and the blueprint sideplates marked “0 of 500” for “Hostiles”, “The Last Cartridge”, “Through the Line”, “The Attack”, and “Hands Off”. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks, a
light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine. Sideplates are fine overall. There is some discoloration and pitting
on the two nickel plates, and oxidation on the three blued plates. This is a truly once in a lifetime chance
