Model 1911A1 Semi-
Automatic Pistol with
Shoulder Holster - Serial
no. 722628, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1940 and delivered to Springfield Armory on 30 January
of 1941. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line/two-block address separated by the Rampant Colt, “CSR” inspected frame with “W/VP” proof, matching “P” proofs on the frame and slide, and standard U.S. property and Army nomenclature on the right of the frame. Fitted with blade and notch sights, checkered slide catch, checkered thumb safety, and wide
spur hammer, long grip safety, and arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop. The full blue barrel is marked “COLT 45 AUTO” on the lower left and
“G” in front of the lug. Fitted with a two-
tone magazine and checkered walnut grips.
Includes a U.S. Enger-Kress leather shoulder holster, similar to those
issued to many pilots during World War II.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% plus of the original blue finish with
a couple lightly cleaned/cold blue touched up patches on the lower left edge of the slide and on the left of the frame just above the trigger, and some slight thinning to a grey patina on some edges and the mainspring housing. The grips are also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with some light wear.

Excellent World War I U.S. Colt Model 1911
Semi-Automatic Pistol with Factory Letter
- Serial no. 493564, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round
bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
on 17 October 1918, the included factory letter
confirms the current configuration (grips not
listed) as well as shipment to the Greenville
Piers in Jersey City, New Jersey on 23 October
1918 for subsequent shipment to the American
Expeditionary Forces in Europe, shortly before
the end of World War I. The left side of the slide
is marked with the standard two-line, two-
block patent dates and address on either side
of the Rampant Colt, while the right side has
the standard model and U.S. army marking. The
left of the frame has the standard U.S. property
marking and an “eagle head/Si6” proof, with “67”
on the trigger guard. The blued barrel is marked
with a conjoined “HP” on the chamber hood, “Z”
on the right of the lug, and “0” in front of the lug.
The two tone magazine is marked “A”. It is fitted
with diamond pattern checkered walnut grips.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 97% plus of the original “Black Army” blue finish with some very light edge wear and some light slide retraction marks. The grips are also excellent with a few scattered minor blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

World War II U.S. Union Switch & Signal Model
1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
1062629, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round bbl., parkerized
finish, plastic grips. In May of 1942 the U.S. government
initially placed an order with Union Switch & Signal Co. for 200,000
Model 1911A1 pistols, an order which was later revised to 55,000 pistols.
This pistol was likely manufactured early to mid-1943. The slide is marked
with the “USS” monogram and “U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.” on the
left side, with a Robert Downie “R.C.D.” on the left of the frame, and standard U.S. government nomenclature on the right. The full blue barrel is marked “HS” and “P” on the lug. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, Keyes Fiber checkered grips, full blue “L” marked magazine, and a full blue barrel marked “HS” and “P” on the lug.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original parkerized finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina,
primarily on edges, and some scattered plum
colored spotting on the slide. The grips are
excellent with a few scattered light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.

Ithaca Model 1911A1

no. 1456959, 45 ACP
cal., 5 inch round bbl.,
parkerized finish, plastic
grips. Manufactured in
1943, the left side of the
slide marked with the
standard two-line Ithaca
address, “P” on top, and
the model designation
and U.S. army markings
on the right. The left of
the frame as the “FJA”
inspection mark and “P”
below the magazine release,
serial number, and model designation, as well as “1” on the trigger guard.
The barrel has a non-factory polished chamber hood and is marked “F”
and “P” on the lug. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide
release and thumb safety, narrow serrated hammer, short grip safety,
stamped trigger, checkered Keyes Fiber grips, and an “S” marked full blue
magazine. Includes a U.S. Milwaukee Saddlery Co. “1942” dated holster, a
“U.S” marked canvas dual-magazine pouch, and two extra magazines.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 90% plus of the original parkerized finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily in the form of light holster wear, and a faint takedown mark. The grips are excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster and magazine pouch are very fine with some light wear.
