  CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus of the bright original blue finish with only minimal bayonet mounting wear at muzzle, handling/storage marks. The hammer and lever retain 95% plus original case colors. The buttplate retains patterns of original case colors. Both sides of the stock have pressure dents likely obtained
while in the packing crate, otherwise the wood is very fine with some scattered handling marks and attractive feathered grain. The bayonet is very fine. Mechanically
excellent. This Winchester Model 1873 Musket will be a welcomed addition to any lever action collection.

Framed Winchester January, 1915 Calendar By Lynn Bogue Hunt -
Winchester January, 1915 advertisement calendar depicting a mountain goat fending off an eagle with its horns in defense of its young. The lower left of the visual displays the signature of Lynn Bogue Hunt. The lower portion has a calendar stapled to it with the slogan “First, Last, and All Times, Use Winchester Guns and Cartridges”. Below the calendar is text reading “Winchester Repeating Arms Co., New Haven, Conn., U.S.A./SOLE MAKERS OF WINCHESTER GUNS AND CARTRIDGES”. This calendar is pictured on page 24 of “A Life’s Tapestry of a Collector: The Gamble Collection” by George F. Gamble and R.L. Wilson. Mounted in a wooden frame. Frame measures 17 3/4 inches x 32 3/4 inches.
CONDITION: Fine with storage and handling marks, scattered lateral creasing, tearing on the edges, and some scattered peeling. Colors remain vivid. Provenance: The George F. Gamble Collection.
