John Rigby & Co. Big Game Bolt Action Rifle with Swarovski
Scope and Case - Serial no. HTM001, 416 Rigby cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut
stock. Blued steel barrel with a ramped beaded blade front sight, barrel band with sling stud, rear quarter rib with three
position (one standing, two folding) rear sight with gold center lines and yardage. The muzzle shows a single gold band with floral
engraving, the quarter rib shows light engraving along with gold inlaid “John Rigby & Co. Paso Robles, CA” marking, and 1999 dated German proofs. The
blued double square bridge action displays extensive floral scroll engraving with gold inlaid caliber marking, serial number, and safety position indicator
as well as scope rings holding a Swarovski Habicht 1.25-4x24mm scope. The bolt has an engraved handle knob and another gold inlaid safety position indicator. The floorplate is coin
finished and shows scroll engraving around a gold inlaid oval which surrounds a finely detailed red stag which is signed with by an unknown hand. The blued triggerguard shows “H/T/M”
inlaid in gold Gothic lettering. The beautifully figured pistol grip stock features multi-point checkering, a horn forend tip, blued engraved grip cap with gold Rigby logo, rear sling stud, and rubber recoil pad. Included is a Rigby branded aluminum locking case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes with minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock. The scope optics are sharp.

Griffin & Howe Engraved German Mauser Type Bolt Action Sporting
Rifle - Serial no. 8465, 416 R.Mag cal., 23 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrel with ramped,
beaded blade front sight, sling stud on the barrel band, matted rear quarter rib with three leaf (one standing, two folding) rear sight with gold center lines, “REBARRELED BY GRIFFIN & HOWE INC. NEW YORK” ahead of the rib, and dual wedges of scrollwork at the breech. The double square bridge Mauser 98 type action has matted bridges flanked by engraving, jewelled bolt, and engraved and knurled bolt handle. The bottom metal shows the same attractive scroll engraving. Nicely figured, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with ebony tip, engraved recoil bolt, blued engraved grip cap, shadowline cheekpiece, inscription oval marked “J.K.H.”, rear sling stud, and ventilated red rubber recoil pad.
CONDITION: Very fine as built by Griffin & Howe, retaining 99% blue finish, minimal minor handling evidence, and overall sharp checkering on the stock. Mechanically excellent.
