C.S.M.C.’s Grand American pattern engraving featuring extensive tight scrollwork surrounding gold inlaid
game scenes depicting a setter on the left, a pair of pheasants on the underside, and a retriever on the right
side as well as a pointer bust on the triggerguard. The gun features a single gold washed trigger and a tang mounted automatic
safety/selector switch. Beautiful, highly figured, fancy fleur-de-lis checkered forend with push button release and engraved shoe and straight grip stock with blank inscription oval and red rubber Winchester recoil pad. Includes a leather bound takedown case, shipping box, and three extra choke tubes (modified, improved modified, and full). This lot is consecutively serial numbered with the following two lots. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech .614/.614 inches; minimum wall thickness .035/.034 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 14 3/8 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. 7 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and gold finishes with limited handling evidence, some residue on the side ribs, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.

There is a tiny crack on the left stock head between the action and checkering panel, otherwise the wood is excellent with sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,000 - 7,000
