Factory Engraved Libero Ferraglio .410 Bore Boxlock Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 33597, 410 gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels with a single brass bead sight on the matted concave solid rib, factory and importer marking on the left and right respectively, 1986 dated Italian proofs, 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, and chokes measured cylinder/full. The coin finished action shows light line engraving with radial engraving around the bolts and pivot pin and features double triggers and a tang mounted manual safety switch. Nicely contrasting figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend and straight grip stock with checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 1/2 inch drop at comb; 2 1/8 inch drop at heel; 14 1/2 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 5 lbs. 10 oz. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 98% original blue finish, 90% original coin with oxidation on the action, minor handling evidence, some minor chipping at the left rear of the forend shoe, and overall sharp checkering on the wood. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% plus professionally reapplied blue finish on the barrels, 98% original coin, and 80% blue on the trigger guard. The gun shows light handling evidence and some light oxidation on the lower tang. The recoil pad is deteriorating; otherwise, the wood is very good with a tiny hairline crack at the rear of each lockplate and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. inch chambers with ejectors, 1990 dated Spanish proofs, and chokes marked improved cylinder/improved
modified. The casehardened sidelock action displays scroll engraving and is marked “PLUMTHICKET” on either lock and Arrieta makers mark on the underside. The gun features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and automatic tang safety. Nicely figured,
multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and straight grip stock with teardrop flats and checkered bare butt. Includes a
canvas mutton leg takedown case. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/2 inch drop at heel; 13 13/16 inch length of pull; weight 6 lbs. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue and casehardened finishes with an area of finish loss on the trigger guard, minor handling evidence, and sharp checkering. The coin finished boxlock action shows scroll engraving with a gold hawk on the toplever and features a single trigger and a tang mounted safety/selector. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered beavertail forend with lightly engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad. Includes a factory takedown case and three extra choke tubes (light modified, modified, and full).
