LOT 1050 Attractive Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 223970, 32 WCF cal., 24 1/4 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1903 with standard markings including the three line manufacturer and patent information marked on the tang and correctly lacks the latter Winchester “WP” proofs. The barrel is marked “32 W.C.F.” on top ahead of the breech and has dovetailed German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate. A fine example of a working man’s rifle with a look expected from use on the frontier. CONDITION: Very fine. The barrel has 60% of original blue finish with some thinning on the balance while the tube magazine retains 70% of the original blue finish. The receiver shows some minor handling marks, with attractive patina at the bottom indicative of being held in the hand for long periods of time and 60% of the original blue finish. The hammer and lever show traces of case colors mixed within dark grey patina. The wood is also very fine overall with a few light handling marks and edge wear, while maintaining a lustrous and bright oil finish. The forearm also displays nice figure. Mechanically excellent. Antique Winchester Model 1873 Lever Action Rifle in Desirable .22 Short Caliber - Serial no. 469106B, 22 short cal., 24 3/8 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Winchester manufactured approximately 19,552 Model 1873s in .22 short or .22 long between 1884 and 1904. They were the first .22 rimfire repeating rifles manufactured in America. This rifle was manufactured in 1893 and has a dovetailed blade front sight, adjustable sporting rear sight, the two-line address/King’s patent marking on top of the barrel, the caliber markings at the breech and on the bottom of the cartridge elevator, the model designation on the upper tang, and the serial number on the lower tang. Mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.
CONDITION: Very good with 20% of the original blue finish mostly visible in the protected areas and otherwise dark brown patina overall. The wood is very good and has general minor scrapes and dings, small chips on the rear of the forearm, and mild overall wear. The trigger reset spring is weak, but the rifle otherwise mechanically functions fine.
The Winchester Model 1873 was Winchester’s first “plinking” rifle and

Colt Bisley Model Single Action Revolver in Desirable .45 Long Colt - Serial no. 235620, 45
Long Colt cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1902.
Features a blade front sight, top strap groove and notch rear sight, the two-line address on top of the barrel, “(BISLEY MODEL) 45 COLT.” on the left side of the barrel, the two-line patent marking and encircled Rampant Colt trademark on the left side of the frame, and matching serial numbers.
CONDITION: Very good plus with 30% original blue remaining mostly concentrated on the barrel and ejector housing, 20% original case colors in the protected areas, mostly smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, some faint spots of oxidation/pitting, and general mild overall wear. The grips are also very good as aged to an attractive chocolate tone and have distinct checkering and Rampant Colt embossing, and minor age and handling related wear. Mechanically fine.
