Pre-World War I Imperial German DWM Model 1906 Second

6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This is an attractive example of an Imperial German DWM Model 1906 Second Issue Navy Luger pistol, one of approximately 2,000 Second Issue Navy Lugers that were manufactured and fall in the 9000a-998b serial number range. These were the standard pre-World War I Navy Luger issued to the Imperial German Navy all the way through World War I and even into the Weimar era. This second issue Navy 1906 Luger has the desirable 6 inch Navy barrel, two-position 100-200 meter Navy rear sight, grip safety, and the desirable first variation safety markings with “GESICHERT” in the upper position. The top of the chamber area is unmarked, and the standard “DWM” logo is marked on the front toggle. The underside of the barrel is marked with a “(crown)/M” Navy acceptance proof and a crown firing proof on the left. The left
of the barrel extension has a crown firing proof followed by double “(crown)/M” Navy acceptance proof marks. Crown proof mark also located on the left of the breech block. It has the standard military style serial number placement with “9754a” marked on the underside of the barrel and front of the frame. Various small parts are marked with the matching last two digits of the serial number including the underside of the barrel extension and inside of both grip panels. The pistol is fitted with a correct pre-war Navy type magazine with nickel plated body and walnut base with concentric circles and “8728” marked on the bottom. Includes a board shoulder stock with number “1756” marked on the iron attaching area and “W.D.211.” unit mark on the circular iron disc, a reproduction black leather holster containing a cleaning rod, suspension rig, and a black leather double magazine pouch containing two wooden dummy magazines. Per consignor pistol was restored by Gale Morgan.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 95% professionally restored blue finish with only light finish loss around the stock lug area, and absolutely crisp markings and edges in the metal overall. 60% original straw colors visible on the small parts. Grips are also very fine with minimal handling evidence and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Included board stock is fine with some light handling marks in the wood and a brown patina with some light pitting visible on the attaching iron. The reproduction holster and suspension rig are excellent, and the double magazine pouch is fine with some light age related cracking on the flap. This excellent Imperial German DWM Model 1906 Second Issue Navy Luger pistol rig is a desirable addition for any German military

.22 LR pistol has a manually operated toggle
lock bolt that resembles a Luger or Borchardt
pistol of the time. Belgian commercial crown
proofs marked on the frame and barrel. August Francotte company logo marked on the left
rear of the frame above number “10”.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% original
blue finish with smooth
brown patina on the balance.
Grips are excellent with crisp
checkering. Mechanically fine.

Automatic Pistol Dated 1914 - Serial no. 761I, 9 mm Luger cal., 8 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. “1914” dated chamber and “(crown)/
Erfurt” marked toggle link. Blade front and tangent rear sights. Three crown
and gothic letter military proofs and an Imperial eagle firing proof on the
right of the barrel extension, with proofs on the barrel and breech block. The matching full
serial number marked on the front of the frame and underside of the barrel, with the matching
last two digits marked on various components including the inside of both checkered walnut grips, and “452b” marked on the walnut
base of the nickel plated magazine.
Per consignor pistol was restored by
Gale Morgan.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 99%
professionally restored blue finish
and 95% straw colors on the small
parts. Grips are also very fine as
restored. Mechanically excellent.

DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol -
Serial no. 19188, 7.65 mm Luger Auto cal., 4 3/4 inch round bbl., blue
finish, walnut grips. Blade and notch sights, with the American Eagle on the
chamber, “GERMANY” import mark on the front of the frame, matching full
numbers on the barrel and frame, and matching partial numbers overall in the
“commercial” pattern, including the grip panels. Features are typical for the Model
1900, with a recessed flat-top breech block, dished toggle knobs, spring loaded toggle lock, and
pencil profile barrel. Straw finished small parts, with niter blue pins and springs, and a nickel finished
magazine with an unmarked hardwood base.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% plus professionally refinished high polish blue, showing some light
handling marks and cycling wear. 80% of the straw colors are present, with a smooth gray patina on the
remainder. The recheckered grips are
fine, with a mended chip on the left
side near the safety, thin chips on the
front edge, and sharp checkering. The
grip safety hangs up a bit, otherwise
mechanically excellent.
