checkered beavertail forend and with engraved fittings including the Deeley latch release. The
replacement straight grip stock shows beautiful figure, carved flats, and a checkered bare butt. Included are 1981 dated correspondence with Parker repair and restoration expert Larry DelGrego including an invoice listing the repairs and a letter reporting the work on the gun was complete including engraving by “Bob”, who is very likely Robert P. Runge, Master
Engraver for Remington and Parker Gun engraver from the Remington Parker days, though the work is unsigned. There is also a signed letter from Victor Reinders showing transfer of ownership of the gun, Reinders is a member of the ATA Trapshooting Hall of Fame. The lower tang
has been reshaped from its original round knob stock configuration, and the stock has been replaced. Also included is an extra exceptionally well-figured Larry DelGrego stock with
a longer length of pull and engraved steel buttplate around the checkered bare butt. Stock measurements: 1 5/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/16 inch drop at heel; 12 13/16 inch length of pull;
weight 5 lbs. 7 oz. CONDITION: Very fine as upgraded by Larry DelGrego & Son, retaining 98% blue finish, 60% plus case colors, light handling evidence, a few minor marks on the wood, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The extra stock is also very fine. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 9,000 - 14,000

Parker Brothers 20 Gauge Upgraded VHE Grade Double Barrel Shotgun - Serial no. 169488, 20 gauge, 26 inch solid
rib bbl., blue/gold/silver finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1914 on a size “0” frame as a standard VHE Grade gun and
subsequently upgraded to the current configuration. Blued steel barrels with dual white bead sights (mid-bead broken) on the matted concave solid
rib which is marked “PARKER BROTHERS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CONN. VULCAN STEEL”, chambers measured 2 1/2 inches with automatic ejectors, and beautifully executed floral scroll engraving with gold and silver inlaid accents in 2 1/2 inch wedges at either breech. The blued boxlock action has be extensively decorated with more fantastic deep scroll engraving with gold and silver
accents as well as a number of relief cut gold
inlaid game scenes.
The left side of the action shows a setter flushing a pair of quail in a on the edge of a forest, the right side has a trio of mallards taking off from a pond, the underside has a single quail amongst the gold and silver scroll, and the trigger guard shows the bust of a dog. This fantastic engraving work is signed on the water table “OGAWA” for Japanese Master Engraver Shiro Ogawa. The gun

fleur-de-lis carved beavertail forend with engraved and silver and gold inlaid fittings including the
Deeley latch release, and straight grip stock with checkered flats, fleur-de-lis carved drop points, “G” in the silver inscription oval, and leather covered recoil pad. Barrel and stock measurements (R/L):

CONDITION: Very fine as masterfully embellished, retaining 97% plus blue finish, 99% gold and silver finishes with some light discoloration in areas, light handling evidence, some slight thinning in spots, some wear to the leather covered recoil pad, and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. Firing pins are absent, otherwise mechanically fine. Estimate: 8,000 - 13,000

Blued steel barrels with dual which bead sights on the matted concave solid rib which is marked “PARKER BROS. MAKERS MERIDEN. CT. U.S.A. VULCAN STEEL”, 3 inch chambers with a single extractor, and chokes measured full/full.
