Fantastic Factory Ferraglio Signed,
Game Scene Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Beretta 20 Gauge SO10 EELL Hand
Detachable Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. SO0101B, 20
gauge, 28 inch solid rib bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut stock. Blued steel barrels
with a single brass bead sight on the matted flat solid rib which is marked with a panel
of light engraving around “Beretta”, 2006 dated Italian proofs, interchangeable choke
system (modified/full installed), and 3 inch chambers with automatic ejectors. The coin finished hand detachable pinless
sidelock action displays exquisitely executed tight scroll interspersed with heart shaped motifs of intertwining lines over a blackened
backgrounds surrounding game bird scenes. The left lockplate shows a pair of snipe with one on the ground and the other in flight cut in
two separate panels set into the scroll, the right lockplate shows two pheasants one standing in a field and the other appears to be flushing in two
separate scenes, and the underside has a pigeon in flight and a grouse in the grass with one in flight and the other on the ground in the same fashion as
the other scenes with all of the scenes being cut in outstanding detail. The engraving continues onto the pierced toplever which is adorned with a gold coronet, the
trigger guard which has a blank area for inscription, and both tangs with the top showing the serial number inlaid in gold. The engraving is signed at the bottom of the scene
on the underside “Ferraglio Inc. 06” for Italian Master Engraved Gabriele Ferraglio. The gun features a single trigger, right hand rolled trigger guard, and a tang mounted automatic
safety/selector switch with gold inlaid “S”. Beautiful highly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and a fancy gold Beretta emblem inlaid into the underside and a pistol grip stock with teardrop carved flats and a checkered bare butt. Included is a wood and black leather case with a pair of ebony snap caps, two nickel oilers, and a set of cleaning tools. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved and measured at 16.0mm (.630 inches); minimum wall thickness .027/.027 inches; 1 3/8 inch drop at comb; 2 1/4 inch drop at heel; 14 5/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 6 lbs. 2 oz.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes with limited handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock and forend. The case is very fine. Mechanically excellent. Don’t miss your chance to own this beautiful piece of firearms art!
