accompanying factory letter states the serial number was applied on January 22, 1892 and confirms the .22 WRF
chambering as well as received in the warehouse on August 4, 1892 and shipped on October 7, 1892. CONDITION: Fine with 60% original thinning blue finish with some scattered small nicks and scratches, mostly dark patina on the muzzle, and some minor edge wear. The receiver has 40% plus original case colors with the balance a gray patina with some pin point surface spotting and mottled brown/gray patina on the tangs. The refinished wood is fine with scattered small dings (heavier on the forend) and mostly gray patina on the buttplate with patterns of original case colors. Mechanically excellent. CONDITION: Excellent with 97% bright original blue finish, well-defined markings crisp proofs, mild handling and cycling marks, and a slightly thinning brown patina on the .
