Exceptional Pre-War First Generation Colt Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Army Revolver with Original Box
- Serial no. 352235, 44-40 WCF cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured in 1928. The barrel is marked with the one-line Colt Hartford address and “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER 44-40” on the left side. The two line, three patent dates are marked
on the left side of the frame followed by the Rampant Colt. The matching serial number is marked on the bottom of the frame and on the right side of the
grip straps under the grip.

number “569” is marked
on the right rear of the
frame and on the loading
gate. The grip panels are
each numbered to another gun. Standard blade front and frame notch rear sights, casehardened frame and hammer, with blue remaining parts, and fitted with checkered hard rubber grips
with the Rampant Colt in an oval at the top. Comes with the original hinged lid Colt factory box numbered to the gun with correct end and interior labels. In the box is the original waxed paper and “Special Instructions” pamphlet. CONDITION: Excellent in original box. The revolver retains 97% plus original blue and 98% plus vivid casehardened finish with some minor muzzle and edge wear, and some light scratches and a light drag line on the cylinder. The grips are also excellent with a few tiny dings on the lower edge and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent. The box is fine with a separated corner and tear on the lid flap, a separated corner on the box, and some wear and tattering on the edges. The instruction pamphlet is oil soaked.
