of a DWM Model 1900 American
Eagle marked with the “American
Eagle” seal of the United States.
Manufactured in a serial number
range of 2,000-19,000, the
Model 1900 was DWM’s first true
commercial production Luger, and
the American Eagle variant was
intended specifically for the lucrati
United States market. These
Lugers have the early features
such as a grip safety, recessed
breech bolt, dished toggles
with toggle lock on the side,
full serial number located on
the front of the frame and
underside of the barrel with
the last two digits of the
serial number on the face of
the recoil lug, takedown lever, side plate, breech bolt, toggle assembly, side of the grip safety and the underside of the left grip panel, with the right grip panel unnumbered although it appears to be original to the gun. The pistol has a deep rust blue finish with the grip screws, front sight blade, and connecting pins heat blued and
the extractor, toggle link, ejector, takedown lever, trigger, magazine release, and thumb safety lever with a straw color finish. It is fitted with walnut checkered grips, and it has an unmarked magazine with a nickel plated body and walnut base. “GERMANY” is marked on the front of the frame. Includes a George Lawrence brown leather holster marked “14” and “GEO. LAWRENCE CO./STEERHIDE/PORTLAND, ORE.” and “30 L” on the back.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% original blue finish with smooth gray and brown patina on the balance, and sharp markings and edges in the metal overall. Grips are very good with some light wear towards the bottom and otherwise defined checkering. Mechanically excellent. Holster is very good.

World War I Mauser “Red Nine” Broomhandle
Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 46370, 9 mm
cal., 5 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood
grips. Manufactured 1916-1918. Blade front and
500-meter tangent rear sights, with the three-line
address on the top chamber flat, “crown/Gothic
letter” military proof on the right chamber flat,
“crown/crown/U” on the chamber and bolt, and the two-line address on the right side of the frame. External numbers are matching overall with a New Safety hammer, slotted back strap, and matching numbered 32-groove grips with a branded and red-filled “9” on each panel, and three notches cut into the right panel.
CONDITION: Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing scattered spotting, areas of brown and gray patina, mild edge wear and light handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few minor dings and edge chips. Mechanically excellent.

Production Luger Semi-Automatic
Pistol Rig with 1915 Dated
Holster - Serial no. 8031, 9 mm cal., 4
inch round bbl., blue finish, checkered
walnut grips. Fixed sights, with the
“1915” date on the chamber and
the “DWM” monogram on top of the
toggle. The full serial number is present
on the barrel, extension and frame,
with matching partial serial numbers on
the latch, side plate, sear, safety, toggles,
extractor, trigger, hold open, breechblock
and firing pin. A set of three “crown/script
letter” proofs is present on the right side
of the extension next to the Imperial Eagle,
which is repeated on the
barrel and breechblock.
The bore diameter
“8,82” is marked on the
bottom of the barrel,
and the upper safety
position and extractor are
marked “GESICHERT” and
“GELADEN” respectively.
Small components are
straw colored and fire blued, with a wood base on the nickel magazine. Includes a takedown tool, extra magazine and black leather flap holster marked “A. WERTHEIM/1915” on the front.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing scattered pin-prick pitting, wear along the high edges and handling marks overall. 60% straw colors. Grips are very fine, with mild pressure dents. Holster is very fine, with the stitching on the tool pouch torn and scattered scuffs. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Early Production German Erfurt Model 1914 Artillery Luger
Semi-Automatic Pistol Dated 1914 - Serial no. 1584B, 9 mm
Luger cal., 8 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. “1914” dated
chamber and “(crown)/Erfurt” marked toggle link. Blade front and tangent
rear sights. Three crown and Gothic letter military proofs and an Imperial eagle firing
proof on the right of the barrel extension, with proofs on the barrel, breech block and small parts. Matching full serial number marked on the front of the frame and underside
of the barrel, with the matching last two digits marked on various components including the inside of both checkered walnut grips, “2” and “9032” marked on the walnut base of the nickel plated magazine.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% original blue finish with some light high edge wear, and otherwise sharp markings and edges in the metal overall. 70% original nitre blue finish remains on the rear sight slider,
and 85% original straw
colors remain on the small
parts. Grips are excellent
with a few small handling
marks and crisp checkering.
Mechanically excellent.
