CONDITION: Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, minor spotting, and light edge wear and handling marks. The receiver and underside flat of the trigger housing also show extensive light scratching and scuffing. The wood is very good as sanded and reoiled, with some cracks visible on the right side of the foregrip and right side of the buttstock at the mounting iron. The markings are clear and sharp. Mechanically excellent. A scarce early production Thompson SMG with an unusual history of clandestine and legitimate government service. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. Estimate: 45,000 - 65,000
