Winchester Model 61 Slide
Action Rifle in Scarce .22 LR for Shot Only Caliber - Serial no. 51727,

Shot cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1940. Winchester factory oval proofs, correct
grooved top receiver, “-22 L. RIFLE-/-FOR SHOT ONLY-” following
the barrel legend, single bead front sight, 17-groove forearm and
smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retains 95% plus original blue finish with a few light handling marks and some scattered light edge wear. The wood has a few light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.

Serial no. 23057, 22 LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1935. The rifle is in a scarce .22 Long Rifle
configuration with an octagon barrel, which

offered from 1932-1946. It has a
globe front, an elevation adjustable rear sight on the
barrel, and added Lyman elevation adjustable rear receiver peep sight. The upper left barrel flat is stamped with the Winchester legend ending in “-.22 LONG R.-,” and the factory oval proof is on the barrel and receiver.
Mounted on an 11-groove forearm and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine. The rifle retains nearly 97% original blue finish showing moderate cycling wear.
The wood is also very fine showing a 1-inch long hairline crack near the buttplate heel and some scattered very minor pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
