Scarce World War II German Gustloff Werke “bcd/4” K98k Long Rail Bolt Action Sniper Rifle with
Matching Scope - Serial no. 1276V, 7.92 mm Mauser cal., 23 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, laminate stock. Manufactured
late during World War II in Suhl, this Gustloff Werke K98k rifle is outfitted in the “long rail sniper” configuration, with the 3 1/2 inch long
mounting rail secured to the receiver side wall with two guide pins and three screws, the latter also fitted with a set of smaller lock screws; mechanically this mounting system was very similar to the American-fielded M1C Sniper, though the use of an extended mount arrangement to bring the scope directly over the bore simplified armorer installation and end-user adjustment of the optics. The rifle is fitted with a hooded blade front sight and a tangent rear sight, with the receiver ring manufacturer code marked “bcd/4” on the breech of the barrel. Small eagle proofs stamped on various components. Mounted on the rail is a “bek” code Dialytan 4x scope numbered “77465/+”, with a ring and matching mount set numbered “1276.” All matching visible serial
numbers. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, which has a matching serial number to the rifle stamped in the bottom of the
butt, with a checkered cupped steel buttplate. Includes leather sling and scope covers.
CONDITION: Very good, retains 30% mostly faded original blue finish with smooth brown and gray patina on the balance and
some patches of pitting. Stock is fine with some scattered scratches and dents, and a clear stamping. Mechanically excellent.
Scope and mount are fine, retaining 70% plus of the original blue finish on the tube with some smooth brown patina on the dial
and rear objective piece, and the optics are a bit hazy with a solid reticle. High quality examples of late war German sniper rifles
are rare on the market, as many snipers made a point to destroy or discard their equipment prior to capture for fear of reprisals.
Estimate: 8,500 - 13,000

Desirable World War I Mauser Tankgewehr Bolt Action Anti-Tank Rifle with Bipod - Serial no. 5718, 13 mm cal., 40 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood stock. Manufactured by the Germans in 1917 and 1918 in response to Allied tank assaults, the Mauser Tankgewehr 18, or “Elefant-Buechse”, was the first dedicated man- portable anti-tank weapon. Weighing in at 37 pounds, the T-Gewehr was capable of penetrating the armor of the day and could disable an enemy vehicle in 6-10 shots. A historically important weapon, the T-Gewehr gave birth to the anti-tank rifle and was the grandfather of the modern anti-material rifle. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with matching numbers on the barrel, receiver, bolt components, bolt
catch, barrel band, trigger guard and stock, the Mauser banner over “1918” on the receiver ring, and a smooth two-piece pistol grip stock. Includes the correct swiveling steel bipod that mounts to the barrel band.
CONDITION: Fine, with 50% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina, mild spotting and handling marks. The stock is very good, with some cracks concentrated at the butt (some pinned/mended), scuffs and dents. The ejector is absent, otherwise mechanically very good.
