Fabulous Master Engraver Helmut Schink Engraved and Gold Inlaid J.P. Sauer & Sohn Model 90 R&D Prototype Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. K5794, 8x68 mm cal., 26 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The included research shows that this beautifully engraved Sauer rifle began as an R&D prototype and was manufactured in March of 1984. It was originally owned by long time Sauer engineer and gunsmith Mike Guarnieri. The rifle features ramped fixed blade front and fixed express style rear notch sights, claw style scope bases, and a sling swivel on a mid barrel band. The documents go on to elaborate that the piece was engraved by Sauer Master Engraver Helmut Schink. The engraving starts with full 5 inch wedges on the sides of the barrel from the rear sight base to the breech, including the scope base. The receiver has near total coverage with fine, broad, leafy scrollwork and two semi-relief gold inlaid European red deer on the left side. The rear scope base, bolt head, upper tang, trigger guard, magazine, and trigger plate are similarly covered in fine, detailed scroll. Mounted on a beautifully figured multi-point checkered stock with contrasting forend and grip caps, rear sling swivel, and a vented Sauer recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent. The rifle has 99% original blue finish, incredibly detailed engraving, and minimal light handling marks. The wood is also excellent with very rich color, sharp checkering, a small indentation just forward of the rear sling swivel, and light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. This is a wonderful example of Old World craftsmanship executed by a master artisan. Estimate: 4,500 - 7,500 LOT 3620 West German Weatherby Mark V Deluxe Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial no. P13266, 300 WBY magnum cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured between 1964 and 1973 in West Germany by J. P. Sauer & Son. Built without sights and marked “Made in W. Germany” ahead of the action. The action features the standard maker’s markings and is mounted with a Redfield 3-9x scope. Mounted in a highly figured multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with rosewood nose cap and grip cap, a large rollover cheekpiece, and a Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited minor handling evidence and sharp checkering on the stock. The scope optics are clear. Mechanically excellent. LOT 3621 Engraved Sauer Model 200S Bolt Action Rifle with Box - Serial no. H4840, 30-06 cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/grey finish, walnut stock. Manufactured with ramped beaded blade front and single standing leaf rear sight with a spray of light floral scroll engraving on either side of the chamber. The coin action features light floral scroll engraving on either side which extends on to the bottom of the action and a light spray on
the butter knife bolt handle. Mounted in a nicely figured, multipoint checkered walnut Monte Carlo pistol grip stock with rosewood forend and pistol grip caps as well as a ventilated Sauer recoil pad. Includes the original box. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 99% original blue and 97% original grey finishes with some discoloration on top of the action and crisp engraving. The stock is fine with crazing in the varnish, a stress crack at the top tang, a professionally repaired wrist, and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with a small hole in the lid. Estimate: 1,500 - 2,500

Fitted with a fixed blade front and drift adjustable rear express style notch sights on the medium weight barrel. The receiver is drilled, tapped, and mounted with Talley scope rings. The action features an adjustable serrated gold washed trigger and tang mounted thumb safety. Mounted on a full length Mannlicher style stock with multi-point checkering at the grip areas, quick release sling swivels, contrasting rosewood grip cap, and a vented rubber recoil pad. Includes a leather sling and four extra magazines. CONDITION: Excellent with 99% plus original finish remaining showing minimal light handling marks.
