Attractive Documented Special Order Winchester Deluxe Model
1876 Lever Action Rifle with Factory Letter - Serial no. 20848, 45-60 WCF cal., 28 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. The receiver of this very
attractive Winchester Model 1876 was manufactured in 1881. The included factory letter lists the rifle in .45-60 caliber and casehardened
with a 26 inch octagon barrel, plain trigger, and a checkered pistol grip stock when received at the warehouse on 18 March 1882 and shipped
on 22 March 1882 in order number 31860. The replacement 28 inch barrel has the standard two-line address/King’s patent marking, and the
caliber marking at the breech, which is repeated on the bottom of the cartridge elevator. The upper tang is marked with the model and the serial
number is on the lower tang. The left side of the lower tang is marked “XX 1447”, the stock inlet is marked “P 1447”, and the inside of the buttplate is marked “0/1447”. It is fitted with a German silver blade front sight, an “1876” marked folding ladder rear sight, and a Third Model dust cover with rear serrations mounted on the integral guide rail. It is mounted with a very finely figured, H-pattern checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with an ebony insert on the bottom of the grip and a trapdoor crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored, retains 98% plus of the blue finish and vibrant case colors, as well as 99% plus of the nitre blue on the loading gate with a few scattered light handling marks. The restored wood is also very fine with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent,

Attractive Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Rifle in Deluxe, Short, Takedown Configuration - Serial no. 603994, 30 WCF cal., 20 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Receiver manufactured in 1913, and subsequently professionally altered to deluxe takedown short rifle configuration. The short, 20 inch, octagon barrel is marked with the two-line address/patent dates, nickel steel marking, and caliber, all on the upper left flat. The three-line model, trademark, and patent information are marked on the upper tang. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a blade front sight and elevation adjustable buckhorn rear sights. It is fitted with a very finely figured, rifle length, H-pattern checkered forearm and straight grip stock with a casehardened crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally modified to its current configuration, retains 95% plus of the refinished blue and vibrant case colors, 97% plus of the nitre blue on the loading gate, and some scattered light handling marks. The upgraded wood is excellent with some scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500

Very Attractive Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Trapper’s Style Carbine with Casehardened Receiver - Serial no. 97845, 44 WCF cal., 16 1/3 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. The receiver of this attractive carbine was manufactured in 1898, before it was subsequently upgraded to its current “Trapper’s Carbine” style configuration. The later production, 16 1/2 inch
carbine style barrel is marked with the two-line address on the upper right and the two line model, caliber, and trademark information on the upper
left. The three line model, trademark, and patent information is marked on the upper tang. The serial number is marked on the bottom of the receiver. It is fitted with a standard carbine style pinned blade front sight and a folding ladder rear sight. It is mounted with a very finely figured smooth forearm and straight grip stock with a carbine buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally upgraded to the current configuration, retaining 98% plus of the refinished blue and casehardened finishes with a few scattered light handling marks. The replacement wood is also very fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
