 The blued barrel as a polished chamber hood. It is
fitted with blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, checkered arched mainspring housing, wide checkered hammer, factory pearl grips, and a two tone magazine marked “COLT/ACE/22 L.R.” on the base. The .45/22 conversion unit is complete, and the slide is factory grade “B” engraved and has the serial number “U4” located ahead of the rear sight. As stated, the pistol and conversion unit are housed in a factory case.
CONDITION: Excellent. The pistol and conversion unit retain
99% plus original blue finish showing only the slightest handling
marks. The grips are also excellent with some chipping around a couple of screws and highly attractive fiery colors. The case is fine with the exterior having been refinished many decades ago and an excellent original interior with lining exhibiting little wear. Mechanically excellent. A well-documented, true work of Colt artistry well deserving of the finest collection.
