Scarce Three Inch Barrel Colt Combat Python Double Action
Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. T75917, 357 magnum cal., 3 inch vent rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included
factory letter lists this revolver as being chambered in .357 magnum with a three inch barrel, blue finish, and checkered walnut service stocks when shipped as one of a group of
four to Southern Ohio Gun Distributors in Lebanon, Ohio on November 22, 1989. It bears the special roll mark
of “COMBAT PYTHON/357 MAGNUM CTG.” on the left side of the barrel, along with other standard markings
and features. While the original edition was intended to consist of only 500 revolvers for distribution through Lew Horton Distributing Company Inc., the factory letter mentions that new research revealed that an additional 300 revolvers were also made for sale on the international market. It also includes an extra Pachmayr “GRIPPER” rubberized grip.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus of the original blue finish with slight handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Cased Documented Factory Engraved Colt Python Double Action Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial no. 39911E, 357 magnum cal., 4 inch vent rib bbl., coin finish, walnut grips. Manufactured 1977, this
is a beautiful example of a sought after factory engraved Colt Python. The engraving is in a classic American style with tight scrolling swirls. Features a fixed blade front and adjustable rear sight, barrel has standard Colt markings, and it is engraved beautifully with scroll patterns. The frame and cylinder are covered in the scrollwork motifs as well, and a Colt logo marking is below the cylinder release on the left side.
