LOT 575 DWM 1902 Luger Semi-Automatic Carbine with Shoulder Stock - Serial no. 23510, 30 Luger Auto cal., 11 3/4 inch round bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut grips. This is a very nice professionally restored example of a DWM Model 1902 Luger Carbine. These carbines were the first attempts by DWM to compete on the European market with a lightweight rifle substitute. They proved to be very successful and were used by many European dignitaries and kings. Included on this model are a 300 meter adjustable rear sight, grip safety, and checkered walnut forearm with sling swivel, grips and stock with a black plastic serrated buttplate. The stock is unnumbered. The sling swivel is missing off of the stock. The only external markings on the gun are the serial number on the frame extension, “10” on the takedown lever and rear toggle, and the “DWM” monogram on the front toggle. Magazine is unmarked, tin-plated, with wooden base. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored overall with nearly all of the blue remaining. A few minor scuffs on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent. A very nice looking DWM Model 1902 semi-automatic carbine. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500

Swiss Target Configured DWM Luger Single Shot
Pistol in .22 LR - Serial no. 8714M, 22 LR cal., 7 1/2
inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. This Model 1914
Military Luger pistol was modified and set up for target shooting, possibly
for use by the Swiss Military. A Swiss cross in sunburst is marked on top of
the chamber. The pistol was converted to rimfire and fitted with a 7 1/2 inch
.22 LR caliber barrel numbered on bottom to match the gun, a large ramp front
sight (absent front sight blade), adjustable notch rear sight, and unnumbered
replacement grips with a plain border surrounding the checkering. A 9 mm
aluminum magazine with walnut base is currently inside the pistol, which does not
work for .22 LR, as
this pistol functions
as a single shot.
Includes two tools
for adjustment of the
rear sight. Another
very similar Swiss .22
caliber single shot
example, although
with a grip safety unlike this Luger, is photographed and described on pages 152-153 of the book “The Luger Pistol” by Fred A. Datig.
CONDITION: Very good, retains 80% custom refinished blue finish with some slight fading on the barrel and a few patches of light pitting visible underneath the finish. The grips are fine with some light handling marks and defined checkering. Mechanically fine.
Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
