LOT 597 Rare and Desirable MBAssociates Mark I Model B Gyrojet Semi-Automatic Carbine with Scope - Serial no. B0119, 13 mm cal., 17 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut stock. M.B. Associates was established in 1960 and the company produced Gyrojet pistols and carbines from 1962 to 1970. Basically a hand held rocket launcher, this carbine fires a 13mm spin stabilized rocket cartridge containing a four part solid rocket fuel. The nose of the round is forced rearward onto a stationary firing pin igniting the fuel, expelling the round and recocking for the next shot. This is the sporter carbine with an antique nickel finish, integral magazine located in the pistol grip, flared muzzle and an overall sleek appearance. The stock is one piece light colored walnut with a raised comb, cheek piece and a Pachmayr rubber White Line recoil pad. Equipped with a Bushnell Phantom 1.3x telescope. CONDITION: Excellent. The carbine retains 98% of the original nickel finish. The barrel has a “frosty” appearance and the inside of the triggerguard shows some discoloration. The wood is excellent with a few overall scattered minor dings and nicks. Mechanically excellent. The telescope is excellent with clear optics. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500

Gyrojet Test Pistol with Box and Papers -
Serial no. 121, 49 cal., 5 inch round bbl., gold
