Exceptional Early Production Blue and Silver Finish Colt Open Top Pocket Revolver with Rare Factory Box - Serial no. 561, 22 RF cal., 2 7/8 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, antique ivory grips. Manufactured in 1871, the first year of production. The standard two-line address is marked on top of the barrel flanked by Maltese crosses. The matching serial number is marked on the butt, bottom of the barrel lug, and rear face of the cylinder. It is fitted with a pair of smooth antique ivory grips with each panel hand numbered to the gun on the inside. Includes a rare
factory box labeled for “Colt’s Seven Shot Pistol”. CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to
mostly a smooth brown patina. Retains 85%
of the original silver finish which shows an attractively aged patina and the balance an attractively aged brass. The slightly shrunken
grips are fine with a few scattered hairline age
cracks. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear and some minor separation at one corner of the lid.

Cased London Agency Colt Third Model “Thuer” Derringer with Rare “Unauthorized” Address and Von Oppen Marking - Serial no. 7403, 41
RF cal., 2 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, rosewood grips. These derringers were introduced
in 1870, produced until 1912, and totaled around 48,000 manufactured. The top of the barrel has
a rounded blade front sight and “COLT” in large
italic letters and the bottom of the barrel has small British proofs. This early 20th century example has the desirable “illegal”/”unauthorized” Colt Pall Mall address on the left side of the frame along with the circled Vonn Oppen retailer marking. The caliber marking is on the right of the frame. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of smooth rosewood grips. Includes an oak presentation case with Colt London Agency label inside the lid, key,
and .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 50% of the original blue finish with the balance thinned to a smooth grey patina and 90% plus of the toned silver finish, showing an attractively aged patina. The grips are also fine with some scattered light handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with some light handling/storage wear.

Attractive Engraved Colt Second Model Single
Shot Derringer - Serial no. 333, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2
inch irregular bbl., blue/silver finish, antique ivory
grips. One of approximately 9,000 manufactured
from 1870 to 1890. It has the standard two-line
address and “2” model marking on the top barrel flat
flanked by Maltese crosses. There are London proofs on the bottom of the barrel and flourishes of floral scroll engraving on the sides of the frame and back strap. The matching serial number is on the butt and bottom of the barrel. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of
smooth antique ivory grips.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 90% plus of the original blue finish and 75% of the
original attractively aged silver with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina and the engraving crisp. The grips are very fine with a few scattered light scratches. Mechanically excellent.
