Beretta Model SO5 Sporting Sidelock Over/Under Shotgun with Case - Serial no. C10580B, 12 gauge, 27 7/8 inch solid rib bbl., blue/bright finish, walnut stock. Features blued Bohler Antinit steel barrels with single bead sight on the matted vent rib, Beretta factory markings, 1986 dated Italian proofs, 2 3/4 inch chambers with automatic ejectors, muzzles threaded for Mobil Choke tubes (improved/full cylinder installed), and gold inlaid “12” on top chamber. The markings on the bright action are beautifully hand cut, reading “P. Beretta” on either lockplate, gold inlaid “SO5” on the lower tang, and another “P. Beretta” on the underside of the action. The gun features dual triggers and a tang mount manual safety switch. Fitted with multi-point checkered, highly figured forend with Deeley style release latch. The straight grip stock features a black rubber “Decelerator” recoil pad with black spacer. Includes brown and blue leatherette factory carry case, with four chisel style wood handled turnscrews, two extra chokes (skeet and improved cylinder), two snap-cap shells, segmented cleaning rod, black leather pouch with cleaning tools, and ill-fitting choke tool. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bore diameter nine inches from the breech both proved at 18.4 mm (.724 inches) and measured .728/.727 inches; minimum wall thickness .027/.035 inches; 1 7/16 inch drop at comb; 2 3/16 inch drop at heel; 13 7/8 inch length of pull; cast-off; weight 7 lbs. 3 oz. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with light handling marks, a few spotting marks on the right side of the action, and crisp forend and stock checkering. Shotgun with Case - Serial no. F0633, 12 gauge, 30 inch vent rib bbl., blue/coin/gold finish, walnut
stock. Blued steel barrels with a single steel bead sight on the matted vent rib with light engraving
towards the breech, “Abbiatico & Salvinelli” (founding members of FAMARS) marked on the left of
the upper barrel, 2006 dated Italian proofs, interchangeable chokes (improved cylinder/modified
installed), and chambers marked 70mm (2 3/4 inches) with automatic ejectors. The coin finished
bolstered round body action displays beautifully executed English style rose & scroll engraving surrounding
“ABBIATICO & SALVINELLI” on either bolster and “EXCALIBUR/SPORTING” on the underside all in fine gold inlay. The work is signed “inc. A. Bulino” to the right side of the triggerplate. The gun features a single trigger and a tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid “SAFE”. Beautifully figured, multi-point checkered forend with fittings engraved with rose & scroll to match the action and pistol grip stock with a Pachmayr rubber recoil pad. Includes a factory takedown case, extra mainsprings and firing pins, and three extra chokes (cylinder, light full, and extra full).

CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue, coin, and gold finishes with minimal handling evidence. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor scratches and dings and sharp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
