Winchester Model 52 Bolt Action Sporting
Rifle with Case and Accessories - Serial no.
97012C, 22 LR cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, fancy checkered walnut
stock. Manufactured in 1957, and subsequently, exquisitely relief engraved and gold inlaid by an unknown master engraver. The casehardened receiver is engraved with intricate floral vine patterns with similar engraved patterns covering 30% of the barrel at the chamber and muzzle, as well as the Lyman rear sight base, trigger guard, and sling swivel bases, scope base, and bolt handle, with the standard factory
markings bordered by the embellishments. The receiver, muzzle, and chamber also feature gold inlay border lines. The bottom of the magazine floor plate and trigger guard include relief engraved panel game scenes, with a running hare on the former and standing groundhog on the latter. Fitted with ramped blade front sight and receiver mounted, fully adjustable Lyman peep rear sight without the stock cutout. Mounted with a finely figured one piece walnut pistol grip stock with multi-point checkering, Winchester hard rubber grip cap, cheekpiece, checkered metal buttplate, and sling swivel bases. Includes brown leatherette case with Winchester label on the interior, front sight hood, Leupold scope base, Unertl Hawk 4x scope (clear optics), leather sling, and extra magazine.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as elaborately custom embellished, retaining 99% of the blue and casehardened finishes, with light handling marks and spotting in the recessed areas of the engraved bolt handle. The highly figured stock is very fine and has a few light dings and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine.

Engraved and Gold Inlaid Paul Jaeger Sako L61R Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 12847, 7 mm
magnum cal., 24 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Barrel manufactured without sights, marked
“Paul Jaeger, Jenkinstown, PA./Custom Built by Dietrich Apel - No. 10” on the left side. Purportedly master embellished by Claus
Willig, with floral scroll engraving and gold inlay borders on scope rings, bases, trigger guard, magazine floorplate, and grip cap. The
magazine floor plate and trigger guard are finished in coin, with the floorplate displaying a raised gold bighorn ram game scene. The grip cap is marked “EGO” in gold highlight. The bolt handle features six-panel checkering, with the bolt body and
magazine follower jeweled. Fitted with a nicely figured fleur-de-lis checkered Bastogne
stock with shadowline cheekpiece and red Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes a Leupold Vari-X
II 3-9x scope (clear optics).
CONDITION: Very fine as professionally embellished, retaining 99% of the blue and coin
finishes with light handling marks, residue buildup around the trigger guard, and crisp
stock checkering. Mechanically excellent.
