CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% plus original matte gray finish, showing areas of oxidization and brown patina. A number of internal components are absent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. 1986 machine gun registration cutoff, this
is a Group Industries transferable
machine gun in the Browning
pattern, built using components
from a number of sources. The
“Model 37” was Colt’s commercial
offering of the Browning 1917. “GROUP IND.
L’VILLE KY.” is marked on the bottom surface
of the right sideplate. with the serial number
and a set of Colt style markings on the right
of the sideplate. Blade front and a peep and
notch rear sight with windage adjustments and elevation adjustment, and a brass-capped steel
water jacket. A set of smooth pistol grips are installed, along with a safety switch. With a water can and a Model 1918 tripod with integral T&E hardware.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% of the matte blue finish, showing bright wear on the high edges and contact points with the tripod, mild handling marks, and a few small scratches and dings. The grips show some chips and scuffs. Mechanically fine.
