Ruger AC-556 Selective Fire Rifle, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. 190-07632, 223 cal., 18 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Marketed to law enforcement and foreign military clients, the AC-556 family of weapons is the Mini-14 223 caliber rifle configured as a factory original selective fire machine gun. Fixed blade front and adjustable peep rear sights, with no muzzle device, threading or bayonet lug on the barrel. The hold-open device is externally mounted, with a manual control lever, the safety is fit to the front of the trigger guard, and a low profile checkered selector switch is present on the right side of the receiver heel, with functional semi-automatic, 3-round burst, and full-automatic settings. Smooth hardwood stock, with hardwood upper handguard, smooth wrist, smooth alloy buttplate and a brown leather sling. A number “7” label has been applied to the trigger guard, possibly a police department rack number. CONDITION: Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish. Mild spotting/oxidization is concentrated on and around the front sight, with minor cycling wear and handling marks overall. The stock is fine, with a number of dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. 7.62 mm Nato cal., 20 inch round bbl., matte black finish, synthetic
stock. Manufactured using a combination of components from Imbel and other sources, this Springfield Armory SAR-48 is a full function “metric pattern” FAL rifle, complete with functioning auto sear. Dubbed “the right arm of the free world”, the FAL was initially developed in Belgium and would be one of the signature weapons on the Western/NATO side of the Cold War. Adjustable post front and tangent peep rear sights, with a ported flash hider on the muzzle, adjustable gas system, triangular handguard, smooth pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. The bolt and bolt carrier are unmarked, with the latter factory configured to engage the auto sear, and a “S/F/A” marked trigger housing with right handed 3-position selector.
CONDITION: Very fine, with 95% plus factory quality matte black finish, showing mild edge wear and handling marks. The furniture is in equal condition. Mechanically excellent.
