AS PICTURED AND DESCRIBED IN "THE GUN REPORT" FROM OCTOBER 1977
CONDITION: Very fine overall with attractive aged patina on the barrel and furniture, coordinating age darkened patina on the silver, and mostly silver-gray patina on the lock along with mild surface oxidation. The stock is also very fine and has crisp incised carving, most of the attractive “violin” finish remaining, some flakes at the edges mainly of the pommel, and general minor scratches and dings. Mechanically fine. This is a very attractive and rare pair of Kentucky pistols attributed to the well-known Angstadt family of Pennsylvania. Kentucky pistols in general are hard to find, let alone a matching pair. Provenance: The Greg Lampe Collection.
Estimate: 25,000 - 37,500
