Line .32 Spur Trigger
Revolver - Serial no.
18699, 32 CF cal., 2 1/4
inch round bbl., nickel finish, antique
ivory grips. Manufactured in 1882. The
top of the barrel has the two-line address,
the left side has the etched panel marked
“COLT NEW 32”, and the bottom has British
proofs. The cylinder is also marked with
British proofs. The top strap is marked
“WATSON & HANCOCK” and “308. HIGH
HOLBORN. LONDON” on either side of the
sighting channel. It has standard features
as well as a pair of smooth grips. Includes
a leatherette wrapped hard case with
corresponding Watson & Sons marked
interior lining of the lid and six .32 RF
cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 80% plus of
the original nickel finish with the balance
having thinned to a smooth grey patina. The
attractively aged grips are also very fine with
a few short hairline cracks around the screw holes and otherwise
minimal handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine overall with some mild handling/storage wear, most noticeably on the corners.

New Line .22 Spur Trigger Revolver
- Serial no. 31210, 22 RF cal., 2 1/4 inch slab sided bbl., nickel finish, hardwood grips. Manufactured in 1876 with the standard two-line address on top of the barrel, “COLT NEW 22” on the left in an etched panel, patent date on the bottom, and serial number on the butt. The top of the frame on either side of the sighting channel has been retailer engraved with “COGSWELL & HARRISON/226.STRAND. LONDON”. There are London proofs on the barrel and cylinder. It has standard features. Includes a leather wrapped case with the interior of the lining of the lid retailer marked with the corresponding Cogswell & Harrison address and ten .22 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Fine, 75% of the original
nickel finish with the balance having
thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily
on the cylinder. The grips are also fine with some scattered light scratches and handlin marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with some mild handling/storage wear. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Exceptional London Agency Cased Early
Production Colt Open Top Pocket Spur
Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 4069, 22 RF cal.,
2 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1872 with standard
features. The top of the barrel has the two-line
address flanked by Maltese crosses, British
proofs on the barrel and cylinder, and matching
numbers on the barrel, butt, and inked inside
each grip panel. The left side of the frame has
the Rampant Colt flanked by the letter “C”
stamp. Includes a hardwood case with Colt
London Agency interior label, cleaning rod, key,
and an assortment of .22 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 60% of the bright
original high polish blue finish on the cylinder and barrel overall with 90% plus of the original silver plating on
the frame with the balance either a smooth grey patina or attractively aged brass. The nicely figured grips are excellent with some light wear on high spots and scattered light handling marks and retained most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. The case is fine with a crack in the bottom and otherwise minimal handling/storage wear. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

“Thuer” Deringer - Serial
no. 38018, 41 RF cal., 2 1/2
inch round bbl., blue/silver finish, walnut grips.
These derringers were introduced in 1870 and
totaled around 48,000 produced. The left side
of the frame on this derringer is marked with
a “C” and Rampant Colt, as well as the caliber
marking. The top of the barrel has a rounded
blade front sight and “COLT” in large italic
letters and the bottom of the barrel has small
British proofs. It is fitted with a pair of smooth
pearl grips. Includes a brown leather wrapped
hard case with the interior lining of the lid
marked for Watson & Son of London in gilt
lettering and three .41 RF cartridges.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 85% of the
original blue and silver finish with the balance
having thinned to either a smooth grey patina
or attractively aged brass and a minor ding on
the upper left rear of the barrel. The grips are also very fine with some scattered
light handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. The case is fine with some mild wear. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

Colt House Model “Cloverleaf” Spur
Trigger Revolver - Serial no. 5168, 41
RF cal., 3 inch round bbl., nickel finish,
rosewood grips. Manufactured in 1873,
this is one of approximately 7,500 manufactured known as the
“cloverleaf” variation, due to the shape of their four-shot cylinder. The
top of the barrel has the faint standard two-line address flanked by Maltese crossed and the patent date is deeply stamped in the sighting groove on top of the frame. It has matching serial numbers on the bottom of the barrel, butt, and faintly inside of both grips.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 80% of the period retailer applied nickel plating with some mild flaking at the muzzle and on a few areas of the cylinder showing some light surface pitting. The grips are also fine with some scattered light handling marks and retaining most of the varnish. Mechanically excellent.
