William Wild Signed, Engraved and Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson Model 18-4 Double Action Revolver - Serial no.
23K8800, 22 LR cal., 4 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1977. This revolver displays a gold inlaid band at both ends of the barrel with sprays of floral scroll coming from either band. The
frame features 80% coverage floral scroll engraving with curls of floral scroll both bordering and within the engraved panels. The cylinder is engraved to match with a gold band at the rear edge. The work
is signed “W. Wild” on the front of the frame for engraver William Wild. Fitted with a set of checkered walnut target grips.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by William Wild, retaining 99% plus professionally refinished blue finish with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1972. The revolver features gold inlaid bands at either end
of the barrel with light floral scroll on the ejector housing. the
frame features near full coverage leafy floral scroll engraving with geometric gold inlaid
borders. The cylinder is engraved to match with a gold band at the rear. The revolver is signed on the front of the butt “W. WILD” for engraver William Wild. Fitted with a set of checkered magna grips with S&W medallions.
CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by William Wild, retaining 99% plus professionally refinished blue with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. A fine and rare engraved and gold inlaid short-barrel Model 19-3 Combat Magnum. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,000

Guiseppi Forte Signed Deep Relief Engraved
Smith & Wesson Model 36 Double Action Revolver - Serial no. 1J03929, 38 Special cal., 2 inch solid rib bbl., grey finish, carved grips.
Manufactured in 1982 and subsequently engraved by Guiseppi Forte. Features blade front and frame notch rear sights. The barrel and frame display approximately
90% coverage masterfully executed deep relief oak leaf and acorn engraving on a matted background. The left side under the cylinder is signed “ENG. BY GUISEPPI FORTE”. Fitted with a set of matching carved grips. Before his passing Forte worked as an award winning member of the Firearms Engravers Guild of America.
CONDITION: Exceptionally fine as engraved by Guiseppi Forte, retaining 98% plus professionally refinished grey finish with a ding on the top strap and otherwise light handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, and crisp engraving and carving. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,250 - 3,500

Cased Sonny Pike Signed, Engraved, and Gold Inlaid Smith & Wesson Model 29-2 Double Action Revolver - Serial no. N146949, 44 Magnum cal., 8 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, carved grips. Manufactured in 1972-1973. Fitted with red ramp front and white outline rear sights. The revolver features gold bands on the barrel at the muzzle and near the frame with “44 MAGNUM” inlaid in gold and a spray of floral scroll coming from either end as well as on the sides of the ejector housing. The frame features near full coverage floral scroll engraving on the frame with a gold inlaid border on both sides, a gold inlaid eagle on the right, and the initials “WEL” on the trigger guard. The cylinder is engraved to match with a gold band at the rear and one at the front outlining the flutes with a fleur-de-lis on each chamber. The bottom of the frame is signed “S. PIKE 82” which has been attributed to the engraver Sonny Pike who was a professor of art at the University of Mississippi. The grips have been carved on each panel with an eagle soaring down with its talons outstretched. The revolver is fitted in a case along with cleaning tools and a Smith & Wesson challenge coin. CONDITION: Excellent as embellished by Sonny Pike, retaining 98% plus professionally refinished blue finish with limited handling marks, a small spot on the right side of the ejector housing, and crisp checkering. The grips are very fine with slightly softened carving and hairline age cracks. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine with storage and handling marks as well as high edge wear on the lining. Estimate: 6,500 - 8,500
