World War II U.S. Colt Model 1911A1 Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. 1157403, 45 ACP
cal., 5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic
grips. Manufactured in 1943, during the height
of World War II. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line/two-
block address separated by the Rampant Colt, “G.H.D.” inspected frame with
“1/VP” proof, matching “P” proofs on the frame and slide, and standard U.S.
property and army nomenclature on the right of the frame. Fitted with blade and notch
sights, checkered slide catch, thumb safety, and wide spur hammer, long grip safety, and arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop. The replacement arsenal parkerized barrel is marked “HS-1” on the lower left and a rubber bushing is installed on the recoil spring guide. Fitted with a full blue “L” marked magazine and reinforced checkered grips.
CONDITION: Extremely fine, retains 97% of the original parkerized finish on the frame and slide with some light edge wear and a light takedown mark. The barrel
is an arsenal reparkerized replacement. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional World War II U.S. Ithaca
Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol
with Box - Serial no. 1227256, 45 ACP cal., 5
inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips.
Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, with the left side of
the slide marked “ITHACA GUN CO., INC./ITHACA, N.Y.”, and “P” on top, “FJA”
inspected frame, checkered stamped trigger, thin serrated hammer and
arched mainspring housing, serrated slide catch and thumb safety, reinforced
grips, full blue “L” marked magazine, and a fully blued barrel marked “HS” and “P” on the lug. Includes a modern reproduction Ithaca marked Kraft style box hand numbered to the gun on the end of the lid.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original parkerized finish with a few scattered light handling marks and some very light
edge wear. The grips are very fine with some
mild wear near the bottom of the right
panel, a few scattered minor blemishes, and otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is near new with some light wear.

World War II U.S. Union Switch & Signal
Model 1911A1 Semi-Automatic Pistol -
Serial no. 1066028, 45 ACP cal., 5 inch round
bbl., parkerized finish, plastic grips. In May of 1942 the U.S. government
initially placed an order with Union Switch & Signal Co. for 200,000 Model
1911A1 pistols, an order which was later revised to 55,000 pistols. This pistol
was likely manufactured early to mid-1943. The slide is marked with the “USS” monogram
and “U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A.” on the left side, numbered “1371” just below the ejection port, and marked “P/./P” on top ahead of the rear sight. The frame has the Robert Downie “R.C.D.” on the left, and standard U.S. government nomenclature on the right along with a “BA” arsenal refurbishment mark. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, thin checkered hammer, short stamped trigger, long grip safety, arched checkered mainspring housing with lanyard loop, checkered grips, full blue “L” marked magazine, and
a full blue barrel marked “O” on the bottom and boxed “O” on
the lug.
CONDITION: Very fine, retains 97% plus of the arsenal refurbished parkerized finish with some light edge wear. The replacement grips are also very fine with a few scattered light blemishes in the otherwise crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

   5 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, plastic
grips. Manufactured in 1945, this pistol shows the
typical markings of having been supplied to the
British military through the Lend-Lease program
during World War II. The left side of the slide has
the standard two-line, two-block patent dates
and address separated by the Rampant Colt, a “P”
proof on top, a British proof and “NOT ENGLISH
MAKE” behind the ejection port, and a British
government release date of 1952 on the right.
The frame has the standard markings on the right
along with British proofs and “NOT ENGLISH MAKE”.
The blued barrel is marked “7” on the bottom, “P”
and “0” in a diamond on the lug, and has British proofs on
the chamber hood. It is fitted with blade and notch sights,
reinforced checkered grips, and an unmarked full blue
magazine. Includes a “US” leather shoulder holster marked
“U.S./ENGER-KRESS” on the back.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 98% plus of the original
parkerized finish with a few scattered light handling marks and some very light edge wear. The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very fine with some light wear.

World War I U.S. Colt Model 1911 Semi- Automatic Pistol Rig with M1912
Holster - Serial no. 95874, 45 ACP cal.,
5 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut
grips. Manufactured in 1914, this pistol was
included in a shipment to General George M. Cole, State Arsenal, Hartford, Connecticut on 26 September 1914, which is listed on p. 517 of “U.S. Military Automatic Pistols: 1894-
1920” by Meadows. Many of these early Model 1911 pistols saw hard use through World War I. The left of the slide is marked with the two-line, two-block patent dates and address with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, while the right has the standard “MODEL OF
1911 U.S. ARMY” marking. The left of the frame has the U.S. property marking and “WGP” inspection mark and the serial number is on the right. The full blued barrel is marked “J” on the left of the lug. Fitted with blade and notch sights, wide checkered hammer, long
smooth trigger, short grip safety, diamond pattern checkered grips, and an unmarked two- tone magazine with a lanyard loop base. Includes a canvas belt with U.S. canteen pouch and canteen, a canvas Mills dual-magazine pouch, two extra two-tone magazines, and a “US” and “R.I.A.” marked M1912 leather holster.
CONDITION: Fine, retains 40% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to mostly a smooth grey patina in the form of typical use/holster wear. The grips are very good,
showing fairly even mild wear, slightly heavy towards the bottoms, some scattered minor handling marks, and otherwise well-defined
checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster and belt rig are fine overall showing some mild wear and fading.
