First Generation Colt Frontier Six Shooter Single Action Army Revolver with Holster,
Belt, and Badge - Serial no. 206413, 44-40 WCF cal., 4 3.4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. The Colt Single Action Army in .44-40 was named the “Frontier Six Shooter” after J.P. Moore’s
Sons ordered some in 1878. Single actions in .44-40 were particularly desirable in the West because they could use the same ammunition as the popular Winchester Model 1873 rifles and carbines. This classic Colt was manufactured in 1901 and has the standard sights, “COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER” and the two-line
address on the barrel, the two-line patent and encircled Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame, Rampant Colt embossed grips, and matching serial numbers. The revolver is accompanied by a “948/44 6” marked double loop holster with the name and address of a former owner on the back (last name appears to be “Lund”) on the back of the body, a cartridge
belt, and an “I.M.E.U.” badge marked “SPECIAL/POLICE/127/KANSAS CITY,/MO.” CONDITION: Good “frontier issued” appearance overall with mottled blend of gray and brown patina, light pitting, and generally moderate overall wear. The left cylinder release screw appears to be a replacement. The grips have a well-aged light brown coloration, worn but visible checkering and Rampant Colt emblems, and some dings and scratches. Mechanically fine. The holster, belt, and badge
are also fine and have mild age and storage related wear. Overall, a very attractive set that displays well together. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000
   LOT 1023
Winchester “Centennial” Model 1876 Lever Action Rifle - Serial no. 48415, 40-60 WCF cal., 28
inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. The Winchester Model 1876 “Centennial” rifle was Winchester’s first large game rifle and provided significantly
more firepower than its smaller 1866 and 1873 rifles. They were well-suited to hunters in the West who sought out more stopping power for hunting. This rifle
was manufactured in 1885, the second year for the .40-60 W.C.F., and has a nickel-silver blade front sight, notch and folding ladder rear sight, standard markings,
integral dust cover guide rail, an adjustable single set trigger, and smooth rifle forearm and stock (compartment empty).
CONDITION: Good with strong traces of original blue finish remaining on the barrel and magazine tube and fading to smooth brown patina, mix of gray and brown patina on the frame
and furniture, some mild pitting, and general mild overall wear appropriate for a 19th century hunting rifle. The forearm is also fine and has minor dings and scratches. The revarnished buttstock is good and
has some chipping at the toe and a crack from the rear of the upper tang back to the left side of the comb. The dust cover does not consistently retract when the action is cycled, and the trigger does not set; otherwise, mechanically fine.
Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

block mounted nickel-silver blade front sight, period added notch and folding ladder rear sight, Third Model frame with integral dust cover guide rail, standard markings, tang mounted peep sight, and smooth carbine forearm and stock with a three-piece cleaning rod in the compartment.
CONDITION: Good with gray and brown patina, mild pitting, period modified/lowered hammer spur, and general mild overall wear. The refinished wood is also good with mild dings and scratches. Mechanically fine. This is definitely a classic Western firearm with a lot of character.
