Scarce Springfield
M1A Select Fire Battle
Rifle, Class III/NFA
Fully Transferable Machine Gun with Box and Accessories - Serial no.
038768, 7.62 mm Nato cal., 22 inch round bbl., parkerized finish, walnut stock.
While primarily known as a semi-automatic only variant of the famous M14 military rifle, Springfield Armory is known to have
made a limited number of M1A rifles compatible with the selective fire hardware of the M14; very little separates this rifle from the original
military battle rifle save the receiver markings. Blade front and peep rear sights, with National Match style swiveling peep, “WCE” elevation and “closed arrow” windage drums. The receiver is bedded into the stock, with the proper “A” marked selector switch and transfer bar on the right
side. A M2 Harris bipod is clamped to the gas cylinder, with an unmarked hardwood stock, steel buttplate with flip-up shoulder rest and green canvas sling. A hand-marked matching Springfield box (noted as being an “M1A-A1” model with “Select Fire” note) is included, along with six
extra magazines scope rail, and manuals.
CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the parkerized finish, showing some light wear and handling marks overall. The stock is in equal condition. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
Provenance: The Al Walker Collection.
Estimate: 16,000 - 25,000

SWD M11/Nine Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA Fully Transferable
Machine Gun with Box - Serial no. 84-0003350, 9 mm cal., 5 inch round bbl., matte
black phosphate finish, metal stock. A descendant of Ingram’s M10, the M11/Nine is
made with a slightly longer receiver than the M11 to accommodate a caliber upgrade
from 380 ACP to 9mm Parabellum and allow for a longer range of bolt travel to dampen
felt recoil. Fixed blade and peep sights, with the “SEMI/SMG” selector switch on the left side of the frame, safety switch next to the trigger guard and standard markings on the right side of the frame. A swiveling nylon strap is installed on the barrel behind the threading, with a contoured grip panel and a collapsing wire stock. mild edge wear and handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent.
