CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with 97% plus of the original blue finish and 80% of the original case colors which remain especially fiery in the protected areas such as by the cylinder pin button and the loading cutout. The top of the frame exhibits some light pitting contained to the rear half. The revolver shows only light signs of use and handling and storage, including some faint drag lines on the cylinder and some light scratches and muzzle wear on the barrel. The engraving remains exceptionally crisp throughout. The grips are excellent and have crisp carving, attractive natural tones and grain, some very minuscule faint lines and verdigris by the washer on the left, and very light age and handling wear. Mechanically excellent. This is a stunning factory engraved First Generation Colt Single Action Army engraved by Master Engraver Wilbur Glahn. Provenance: The George F. Gamble Collection. Estimate: 45,000 - 65,000
