Wilson Arms MP-40
Submachine Gun, Class III/
NFA Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. MP-083, 9 mm cal., 10 inch round
bbl., blue finish, metal stock, plastic grips. Manufactured by Wilson Arms Co. of
Brunswick, GA, using a new-made tube receiver and a number of original WWII
era components to make a near perfect copy of the MP40, one of the signature weapons of Nazi Germany. A refinement of the MP38 SMG, the MP40 was the go-to close quarters battle weapon of the Wehrmacht and many paramilitary formations. Blade front and two-leaf rear sights, with the Wilson markings on the underside of the receiver and “MP40/ayf/41” on the endcap. The alloy rest bar is present on the unnumbered barrel, with a set of deep brown bakelite panels on the sides of the trigger housing and an underfolding metal stock. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Very fine as assembled, with 75% of the thinning blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, along with scattered light scratches and mild handling marks. The otherwise fine bakelite panels show mild scuffing and scratching, and the folding stock is in good working order. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.

German Schmeisser MP28.II Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA “SALES
SAMPLE” Machine Gun - Serial no. 14249, 9 mm cal., 8 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock.
Manufactured by Haenel and imported by the Inter American Import Export Company of Sacramento, California, this is a solid representative
example of the MP28.II SMG. A refinement of the World War One era MP18 SMG, the MP28.II was part of the last generation of “heavy metal”
SMGs, prior to the transition to the MP38/MP40 models for the Germans. Blade front and tangent rear sight graduated to “10”, with a ventilated
receiver that doubles as a heat shield for the barrel and a magazine well marked “M.P.28.II/SYSTEM/SCHMEISSER/PATENT”. The underside of the receiver
bears the Inter American markings. A manual hook safety is integrated into the receiver, with a “D” and “E” marked pushbutton selector switch built into the trigger guard. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock with grasping grooves on the forearm and a ribbed steel buttplate.
CONDITION: Very good, with traces of blue finish in the protected areas and a mixed brown and gray patina on the remainder, with mild pitting and scattered handling marks. The stock is fair as cleaned and repaired, with cracks at the tip and wrist, a stabilizing plug added to the forearm, mild dents and scratches, and faded hand markings. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being “LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)” and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
