Auto-Ordnance Model 1928AC Thompson Submachine Gun, Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no. A.O.150628X, 45 ACP cal., 10 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Connecticut by Auto-Ordnance, the 1928AC Thompson SMGs were manufactured on the same lines as the military contract 1928A1 SMG but were instead pulled out of line to be sold to law enforcement, with the markings altered; the inspection marks, “U.S.” and the “1” in “A1” have been struck off, with a “C” added to make “AC” and an “X” struck behind the serial number. Blade front sight on the Cutts-marked compensator and fixed peep rear sights, with a smooth barrel, horizontal handguard, post and drum selector/safety switches, matching numbered trigger housing and quick-detach buttstock. A 1928 pattern bolt with Blish lock and oiler assembly is installed. CONDITION: Fine as reblued, with 90% of the blue, showing a few spots of oxidization, some areas of minor sub-surface pitting, and scattered handling marks. The wood is very good, with mild dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), fully transferable Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified as a “Curios or Relic” as defined

Desirable Grouping of 45 ACP Accessories, Including a 100-Round Thompson Drum and a Full Box of Peters-Thompson Auto Shot Cartridges - 1) Two Auto-Ordnance Thompson drum magazines, one Type L 50-round drum marked “U” on the front and back and fitted with a blued rotor, and a Type C 100-round drum with a bright rotor. 2) Two boxes (one empty, one unsealed
but full) of Peters-Thompson 45 Auto Shot ammunition. A short-lived option for the Thompson,
the Peters-Thompson round could be used in conjunction with a special 18-round magazine (not included) to instantly swap a 1921 or 1928 Thompson from a submachine gun to a straight pull
riot gun. 3) One package (partially unsealed, but appears full) of Remington M15 45 ACP shot ammunition. Designed for use with the 1911/1911A1 pistol, turning the military semi-automatic into a breech loading “snake gun” suitable for taking small game or terminating vermin
in a survival situation.
CONDITION: 1) Very fine. The L drum shows some minor spotting and wear. The otherwise very fine C drum shows areas of brown patina, a bright polished patch of pitting on the upper left side, and internal chatter marks consistent with active handling and use. Both retain good spring tension, but have not been test loaded/fired. 2) Boxes are very good display pieces that show wear, tear, and tape repairs. 3) Very good, with one end partially opened, a few small tears, and minor staining.
