Rare Group Industries Model 1918 A2 Manually
Operated Rifle - Serial no. 700010, 30-06 cal., 28 inch
round bbl., parkerized finish, synthetic stock, walnut grips.
Manufactured on an extremely limited basis by Group Industries, this is a replica of the iconic Browning Automatic Rifle. This version, however, operates differently than its full auto counterpart. The gas system on this rifle is purely for cosmetic purposes. The rifle has none of the internal milling done for the operating system, requiring the charging handle to be pulled back for each shot. Essentially working as a straight pull rifle. The barrel is marked “W/2-19” behind the front sight and with U.S. military proofs on the chamber. The rifle is fitted with hooded
blade front and folding ladder rear sights, a bipod and charging handle mounted to the barrel, wooden forearm and bakelite buttstock.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original parkerized finish with limited handling marks and a
small spot of pitting on the left side of the receiver above the charging handle. The furniture is very fine with a few scattered light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
