Factory “Class A” Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box
- Serial no. A415065, 9x19mm cal., 4 inch round bbl., nickel finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1977/78. Factory “Class A” floral scroll engraving
on a punch dot background and smooth Goncalo Alves presentation grips. Includes original silver box confirming engraving, tools, and an extra magazine. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original nickel finish with limited handling
evidence. The grips are very fine with some crazing of the varnish. The box is very fine with minor wear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,500 - 4,500

Desirable Devel Converted Smith & Wesson Model 39-2 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. A143510.146, 9 mm para cal., 3 3/8 inch round bbl., nickel finish, synthetic grips. Frame manufactured in 1972-1973. Fixed front sight highlighted with red paint and a fully adjustable rear sight. The left side of the frame is stamped “.146” after the S&W serial number. Bobbed hammer, shortened barrel, and fluted slide. There is a hook added to the trigger guard and the right side is trimmed for faster access to the trigger. Fitted with a set of smooth “DEVEL” marked grips with clear windows for viewing the magazine. Includes the original S&W blue box, two extra Devel magazines, correspondance between the original owner and Devel Corp., a Conversion Services booklet, and a generic soft case.

of the first type
scalloped frame.
Includes a non-
matching blue S&W box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks, staining, and peeling on the lid.

Early Four Digit Serial Number Smith & Wesson Model 39 Semi-Automatic Pistol with Box - Serial no. 5714, 9 mm para cal., 4 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The Model 39 was the first 9 mm double action, semi-automatic pistol produced in the U.S. Features serrated blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard markings as well as well as the early “MODEL 39” marking without the dash. Includes original S&W blue box containing an extra magazine and
bore brush.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus
original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very fine with storage and handling marks.

Rare Smith & Wesson/Armament Systems & Procedures
Model 39-2 ASP Semi-Automatic Pistol - Serial no.
A160464, 9 mm para cal., 3 1/4 inch round bbl., teflon finish,
polymer grips. Designed in the 1960s by Paris Theodore and produced
through the 1970s, the ASP package took a Model 39 and performed a
radical “remanufacturing”. Reduced in multiple dimensions, rounded edges,
and a reshaped trigger guard. The original sights are replaced with a one-piece Guttersnipe sight. The grips are translucent Lexan marked “PATENTED”, and the magazine is shortened and has windows for round counting with “ASP” marked base.
CONDITION: Excellent as converted to ASP configuration, retaining 99% plus refinished teflon finish with limited handling marks. Grips are very good with some cracking around the screws. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 669 Semi-
Automatic Pistol - Serial no. TAE0022, 9 mm parabellum cal.,
3 1/2 inch round bbl., brushed stainless finish, plastic grips.
Introduced in 1985 as a sub-compact variation of Smith & Wesson’s semi-
automatic pistols. This pistol features red bar front and rounded notch rear
sights. The slide and frame display 95% coverage floral scroll engraving and
otherwise standard markings. Fitted with a pair of pebbled slabside grips and finger extension magazine. Smith & Wesson had 25 Model 669s produced as a first issue featuring Factory Class A engraving to commemorate the introduction of the model.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250
