CONDITION: Near mint considering its age, with a very
fresh untouched, as issued, original appearance. 97% plus
original blue finish remains on the barrel, ejector housing,
cylinder, trigger guard, and grip straps, with slight
smooth gray patina on the balance and some minor very
delicate freckling. 98% captivating original case colors on
the frame and hammer, with sharp markings and edges.
The grip is also excellent, with attractive original grain,
tight fitment, a few minor handling marks, absolutely
distinct edges, and crisp cartouches and inspection
initials. Mechanically excellent. This is a benchmark David
F. Clark inspected New Jersey militia Colt Cavalry Model
Single Action Army, the absolute finest of its type known!
