Colt New Service Model Double Action Target
Revolver with Scarce Dual Caliber .44 Russian/S&W Markings
and Factory Letter - Serial no. 324382, 44 Russian S&W special cal.,
7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory
letter confirms the current 7 1/2 inch barrel, blue finish, and .44 S&W
caliber with grips not listed (usually indicating walnut) when the revolver
was sold to J. C. Minshall and shipped to Lee Kountze Hardware Company on
September 28th, 1927, as a single gun shipment. The gun features an adjustable
beaded blade front sight and windage adjustable rear sight. The left side of the barrel
bears the desirable “RUSSIAN AND/S&W SPECIAL 44” caliber marking along with the
otherwise standard barrel markings. The revolver shows matching serial numbers on
the crane and yoke along with matching hand numbered serial numbers on both of
the checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% plus original bright
blue finish with some frosting in the cylinder grooves, mild
handling evidence, some rubbing at the muzzle, some
light spotting, and mostly crisp checkering on the grips.
Mechanically excellent.

Exceptional Colt Officer’s Model Heavy Barrel Target .32 Caliber Revolver with Original Box -
Serial no. 656422, 32 cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured in 1941. The pistol
has adjustable target sights and a .32 caliber heavy barrel. The barrel has the two-line address/patent
dates marking on the top and “COLT/OFFICERS/MODEL 32/+HEAVY BARREL+” on the left side. Left side
plate is stamped with a Rampant Colt. Fitted with checkered grips featuring Rampant Colt medallions.
Comes with a Colt hinge black box numbered to the gun, wire bore brush, shooting suggestions
pamphlet, and original target numbered to this revolver.
CONDITION: Near new in box. The pistol retains 99% original blue finish with some mild muzzle wear and
some speckling of yellow residue on the butt. The cylinder has an extremely light drag line. The grips
are also excellent with a few minor handling marks on the butt. The checkering is crisp. Mechanically
excellent. The box is fine with limited edge separation and some scattered minor wear.

Very Early Two-Digit Serial Number “56” Colt Police
Positive Flat Top Target Double Action Revolver in .22 WRF - Serial
no. 56, 22 WRF cal., 6 inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips.
Manufactured in 1910, the first year of the Police Positive Target model
production, and possibly even on the first day. Fitted with a pinned blade
front sight and a windage adjustable rear sight. The left side and top of the
barrel are marked with the standard factory markings, the trigger guard is
marked with the “VP” proof on the left side, and the Rampant Colt “C” logo on the
sideplate. There are matching serial numbers on the yoke,
crane, and both grip panels.
CONDITION: Fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with much of the loss on the
grip straps, some spotting, patches of brown patina, and vibrant nitre blue on
the hammer and trigger. The grips show a brown coloration and
crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Manufactured
in 1934, this is
an outstanding example of a Colt Pocket Positive
revolver. The included factory letter lists it in
.32 caliber with a 2 1/2 inch barrel, nickel finish,
and grips not listed when shipped to J.M. Nieto
& Co. in Anasco, Puerto Rico on 7 September
1934. It has the standard markings and features, as well as a very
attractive pair of replacement pearl grips with Colt medallions. Includes a Colt Pocket Positive
box for a different revolver.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original nickel finish with a few scattered light scratches,
some very light spotting near the cylinder latch, and a faint cylinder drag line. The grips are also
excellent with only the slightest handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild
wear and a small tear in the lid.

Action Revolver in .44-40 WCF with
Very Scarce 4 1/2 Inch Barrel and
Factory Letter - Serial no. 336635, 44-40 WCF cal., 4 1/2
inch round bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. The included factory
letter confirms the revolver in .44 caliber with a 4 1/2 inch barrel, blue
finish, and rubber grips when the revolver was shipped on a loan
account to Albert Foster Jr. of Colt’s New York Office on April 1st, 1937,
as part of a 20 gun shipment. The letter further states this shipment was then
delivered to J. L. Galef, also of New York, on April 10th, 1937. The barrel has the
standard markings and the Rampant Colt is marked on the left of the frame. The
trigger guard has a verified proof and “3” on the left. It is fitted with blade front and
frame top groove rear sights, and a pair of checkered hard rubber
grips with “COLT” in ovals at the tops.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with light handling
evidence overall, some light rubbing at the muzzle, light cylinder drag line, light
edge wear on the grips, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.
