World War II German Erma “ayf 41” MP40 Submachine Gun,
Class III/NFA C&R Fully Transferable Machine Gun - Serial no.
601g, 9 mm cal., 10 inch round bbl., blue finish, metal stock. A
refined and streamlined successor to the MP38, the MP40 made extensive use

up with the demand. Nearly every armed branch and paramilitary organization in
Germany made use of the MP40, and many also found their way into the hands
of opposition forces such as the French Resistance and Poland’s Home Army,
making it one of the signature weapons of the war. Hooded blade front and two-
leaf notch rear sights, with “MP40/ayf 43” (Erma) and “cos” (Haenel) on the end
cap, “eagle/WaA254” stamp on the end cap, receiver tube, and other components,
“eagle/280” barrel and bolt. Matching numbers on barrel, receiver and stock
pivot. Fitted with Bakelite side panels, winter trigger, brown leather sling and an
underfolding steel stock. Magazine absent.

the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATFE) that is classified
