CONDITION: Fine, retains 60% plus of the original blue and
casehardened finish and 40% of the original nitre blue on the
loading gate with the balance mostly a smooth grey patina
and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The revarnished
wood is also fine with some scattered minor dings and
scratches, moderate handling wear on the forearm checkering,
and otherwise mostly well-defined checkering. Mechanically
excellent. An attractive, documented example of a special
ordered, deluxe Winchester first Model 1873 rifle!
