During the 1970s, Sinatra performed at many famous casinos,
including Harrah’s, during which time this revolver appears
to have been presented. Through the 1980s and into the
1990s, Sinatra continued performing live, making television
appearances, and recording albums, essentially up
until his death in 1998.
This revolver represents not only a masterfully crafted,
beautiful piece of firearms artistry, but also a tangible piece of
Americana that is indelibly connected to one of this country’s
greatest pop culture icons, “Ol’ Blue Eyes”, Frank Sinatra.
CONDITION: Excellent, retains 99% plus of the original blue
finish with a faint cylinder turn line and otherwise only the
slightest handling evidence, and crisp engraving throughout.
The grips are also excellent with only the slightest handling
marks. Mechanically excellent. The case is very fine with some
scattered minor handling/storage marks. This revolver is truly
an iconic piece of Americana, both as a masterpiece of Alvin
A. White artistry and as having belonged to one of the most
legendary American performers of all time, Frank Sinatra!
Provenance: Frank Sinatra; Henry “Hank” Cattaneo;
The Frank Brownell Collection.
Estimate: 35,000 - 55,000
