As pictured & described in
Winchester Engravingby Wilson
CONDITION: Fine, retains 95% plus of
the original nickel plating with some
very light edge wear/flaking showing
an attractively aged brass and the
engraving remaining very crisp overall.
50% of the original blue finish remains
with the balance mostly a grey patina
and extensive light pitting on the rear
half of the barrel and ladder sight. The
buttstock is also fine with some scattered
minor dings, scratches, and very nice
figure. Mechanically excellent. This is
an attractive example of Ulrich artistry
from the Winchester factory representing
a fantastic piece of late 19th century
American firearms art!
Provenance: The Ron Romanella
Collection; A Private Collection.
Estimate: 50,000 - 75,000
