Framed Print of L. A. Huffman’s “Working A Herd
Among The Buffalo Wallows” - This hand colorized
print by famous American West photographer L.A.
Huffman, depicts a scene of cowboys hard at work
as they wrangle a massive cattle herd. The ranching
scenes captured by Huffman showed the strenuous
day to day life of ranchers in the region. The image
depicts a handful of cowboys mounted on horseback
vastly outnumbered by the herd of cattle as they
graze and drink from the scattered pools of water like
the one in the foreground. The print is stamped “L.A.
Huffman” under the bottom right corner. It is mounted
in a carved gold painted frame with mustard colored
fabric measuring 12 inches by 10 inches.
CONDITION: Excellent with a distinct image and
vibrant coloration. The frame is very fine with light
storage and handling marks.
